Thousands of fans attend Dani Martín’s signing session in Madrid

Dani Martín is beating records with his new album – no doubt, “The album of the year.” After the successful signing sessions in Barcelona (Thursday September 19, during 6 hours and a half!) and Valencia (Friday September 20, for 7 hours), thousands of fans packed Felipe II Sq during the signing session in Madrid. Thousands of people gathered on Saturday 21 September to see Dani present his 12-date tour, get their album’s copies signed and attend Dani’s short acoustic show.

A new record to add to the list of records this new album has already achieved: It continues at #1 on iTunes, the first single “Cero” stayed at #1 for 9 weeks on radio charts, topping the best-selling songs’ chart for 6 weeks, and it also boasts a 30-day stay at #1 position on iTunes. Dani Martín is the first Spanish artist to stream his entire new album on iTunes a week before its official release.

The new album by Dani Martín has been recorded in Los Angeles (Ocean Way Studios), Miami (Cutting Cane studios) and Madrid, and it has been produced by George Noriega (a Grammy winner and producer of artists like Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and Gloria Estefan), Bori Alarcón, Iñaki García and Dani Martín. Among the musicians taking part in the recording, we find Paul McCartney’s backing band: Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums, percussion), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Brian Ray (bass). It has been mixed by Michael Brauer (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, John Mayer, Wilco, Ron Sexsmith…) on Electric Lady Studio (New York) and it has been mastered by the also exceptional Bob Ludwig (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Police, Madonna, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Radiohead, Nirvana, Green Day, Dire Straits…). Names that have conquered a space in the Pop and Rock History during the last fifty years.

Each of the songs clearly reflects the thoughtful caring and respect for music present in this new work by Dani Martín. An high quality pop album which reflects Dani Martin’s maturity as an important composer. It is worth highlighting songs like “Por las venas,” which Dani sings in a duet with Joaquín Sabina – A very original song with “ranchera” and Latin music vibes, blues and a great work done with brass instruments, the Hammond and guitars, featuring Carlos Raya on the lap steel.
